Soi Cowboy is located right on the busy intersections of Sukhumvit road and Asoke road. Just a 15 minute walk to Nana red light district. And since the BTS Sky Train and MRT (underground train) stations are nearby it is also easy to get to Patpong red light district from there.

Out of the 3 red light districts, Soi Cowboy is the smallest. You can literally walk across it in 5 minutes. That is if you are able to look straight ahead and totally ignore the hordes of beautiful ladies begging for your attention at the go go bars.

Soi Cowboy has come a long way after the bar owners in the area made a collaborated to boost up and renovate their establishments. Besides the brighter neon lights and shinier stripper poles the ladies of Soi Cowboy are an upgrade in the looks department compared to Patpong's and Nana's go go bars.

Like anywhere else you would always want to go where the locals go. Well most expats prefer spending their Baht and time in Soi Cowboy. But of course that's my opinion from experience.

I'm not saying Soi Cowboy is the best red light district in Bangkok. Everyone will have their own dislikes and likes. Though Soi Cowboy is one that I do enjoy the most.

How to Get There
Soi Cowboy is very easy to find especially if you are looking for a particular go go bar, you will find it quite easily since all of the establishments are confined in just one short street. There is a list of girl friendly hotels below and there are a few in the area. But if you are not staying nearby you can get to Soi Cowboy by taking the:

• BTS Sky Train to Asok station (Operates from 6am - 12am daily - Head towards Exit #3 and take the escalators. You will see the entrance to the MRT station and I suggest you head into it because there is a tunnel passage that leads under Asoke road. It is a highly congested road and taking the subway passage will save you some time and give you a bit of relief from the heat. Use Exit #2 at the MRT station, Soi Cowboy is less than a minute walk from this exit).
• MRT Train to Sukhumvit station (Operates from 6am - 12am daily - Head towards Exit #2, Soi Cowboy is not far from there at all.)
  

Though it's a small red light district it sure is packed full with all sorts of bars, a couple of clubs and a few notable restaurants serving familiar foreigner friendly foods. A specialty bar, simply put - are establishments where you can get a blow job while sipping a beer.

Are the Ladies at Soi Cowboy More Beautiful?
From what I've noticed, yes they are. Why? Well one reason is since Soi Cowboy is such a favorite hang out for expats, the ladies tend to work there in hopes of catching a generous supporter who will take care of her.

Another reason is the majority of the bar owners in Soi Cowboy are more business savvy(no offense to my friends in Patpong and Nana of course) and are a bit more selective in their hiring process.

As a result many a lot of the go go bars have ladies with differing rates and you even have to pay the establishments a higher bar fine fee for taking a lady out of the bar.

Which bars should I visit in Soi Cowboy?
If you had a few days in Bangkok and don't know where to visit, then here are a few of my favorite suggestions:

• Spice Girls
• Long Gun
• Cowboys
• Baccara

However, if you have the time, it sure is fun to go bar hopping in Soi Cowboy because most of the better looking girls are to be found there. Just be prepared to pay a higher price.

How Much Do Bar Girls at Soi Cowboy Charge?
In general it's as much as it would cost in Patpong and Nana:

• Short Time (1 Hour) - 1,000THB to 2,500THB
• Long Time (Overnight) - 2,500THB - 5,000 THB (These are general rates usually quoted by the ladies. It can be more or it can be less. It all depends on how much the lady has made during the night as well as her age and beauty. Even your age, nationality and looks can determine how much they want to charge you.)

The only exception is some go go bars charge 600THB more for the ladies who are deemed more desirable in the looks and age category. And of course the ladies who know they are more desirable will often ask for more money as well.

How's the Freelance Scene in Soi Cowboy?
You won't really find any hanging directly outside a go go bar. After all the establishments don't want any extra competition for punters. Though you will find them sitting around some of the beer bar/restaurants all along Soi Cowboy. You can get more information at the Thai Freelancers section.

How many times will a bar girl allow me to finish?
Yes, you may have paid for that full hour thinking you can cum like a rabbit. But you can't. If you finish in 1 minute that's basically it. Your companion may lay in bed with you for a bit (after all they want to rest too) but if you want another go you're going to have to pay extra, usually around 1,000THB to 1,500THB and maybe even more (depending on how desperate you look, so be cool).

There are some exceptions of course. If the companion you're interested in is desperate for money, she may agree to allow you with 2 shots, so it's always wise to discuss whatever it is you want to do before you take her out of the bar.

Where and How Much are the Short Time Hotels/Room in Soi Cowboy?
Short time rooms are available in several go go bars in Soi Cowboy, costing 300THB for the hour:

• Fanny's Bar
• Midnite
• Baccara

Another option is to go to Asok Place on Soi 19, just right around the corner from Country Road bar and restaurant. They charge 300THB for 3 hours.

But I always recommend tourists to stay in a hotel that has a girl friendly policy instead, which you will find a list near Soi Cowboy below.

Which Hotel Should I Stay Near Soi Cowboy?
There are plenty of girl friendly hotels near Soi Cowboy. Even if you stay in one close to Nana red light district it is still easy for you to get to Soi Cowboy.
